HOW TO USE

When your perfume oil arrives, don't smell it straight out of the bottle! Perfume oil is meant to bloom on skin, and not all of the scent notes will be smellable out of the bottle.

First, patch test by applying the oil to a small patch of skin, like your wrist or the back of your hand. If there are any signs of irritation, discontinue use and wash off the oil!

Once you're ready to use the perfume oil, apply a generous amount to your pulse points (wrists, neck, inside of elbows, behind the ears, behind the knees).

If you like, rub the oil in, or wait until it starts to absorb into your skin.

Breathe in deeply to smell your new fragrance, and enjoy the atmosphere it creates!

Lake Nymph

Minnesota Siren! Lady of the Lake! Midwestern Algae Princess! Embrace your inner freshwater goddess and give this one a try.

My goodness this is such a realistic atmospheric. Perfectly captures that northern Midwestern freshwater pond/lake ambiance. I feel like I'm floating in a water-lily cove, surrounded by aquatic flowers, algae covered stones, lapping waves of lake water -- and looking up at the pines towering over me at the waters edge... The floral aquatic notes hold this firmly on the wearable side of the niche/atmospheric line. Having lived near ponds, I've always associated green algae with cozy comfort (much like kids who grow up around barns love the smell of fresh hay or even rotting manure) but never imagined it was possible to rock it as a perfume note, yet here we are. Absolute alchemy, this.

Mossy, foresty lake atmospheric but there's a warmth, a coziness to it? I'm not really big on atmospherics but this is quite nice, very wearable. Not sure what the cozy note though, but as it dries down, the warmth fades like the sun setting through the trees and you're left standing at the edge of the lake, watching fog roll in. Getting poetic up in here.
