HOW TO USE

When your perfume oil arrives, don't smell it straight out of the bottle! Perfume oil is meant to bloom on skin, and not all of the scent notes will be smellable out of the bottle.

First, patch test by applying the oil to a small patch of skin, like your wrist or the back of your hand. If there are any signs of irritation, discontinue use and wash off the oil!

Once you're ready to use the perfume oil, apply a generous amount to your pulse points (wrists, neck, inside of elbows, behind the ears, behind the knees).

If you like, rub the oil in, or wait until it starts to absorb into your skin.

Breathe in deeply to smell your new fragrance, and enjoy the atmosphere it creates!

Great but not quite for me

Unfortunately, the ginger ends up overwhelming the other notes to my nose, in the bottle, on skin, or test paper. I think it’s great, but not for me. The ginger even got in my silicone watch band for days, which has never taken on a perfume smell before! That’s how committed this ginger is. (I finally got the smell out by applying an unscented oil to the watch band, then washing with dish soap).

It would be great for a serious ginger-lover. It’s definitely not a gingerbread smell- it’s ginger, but with pent up rage. I did expect this scent to be aggressive, but I was hoping for the other notes to come out too. It may just be that I’m sensitive to this particular ginger so your experience might vary!

We generously received a sample of The Decomposition of It All, which I didn’t expect to like. I looove it. I don’t usually like dirt/ground notes at all. But this is lovely. So you never know with fragrance!
